Community Lifts

Community Lifts is our local Highland Perthshire volunteer driver scheme.

Volunteers offer to drive members of the community to appointments, to visit friends, go shopping, link with pubic transport or whatever else they might need to do.  We offer lifts to anyone in the community – this stretches from Glen Lyon to Loch Tay to Ballinluig but can take people further afield. We prefer 48 hours notice to organise a lift.

Upper Tay Transport have local volunteer drivers. We receive requests on a daily basis.  Drivers will have some basic checks done to ensure they are able to volunteer for the scheme.

Passengers pay expenses to the driver – this is 45p per mile and any parking costs that may arise. Passengers will be advised with an estimate of the cost before the journey is booked. (If a driver needs do any extra mileage we will cover the expenses so the driver is never out of pocket)
